Whats best drones to use? Note: before anyone starts screaming ogres, heres yeah i asked Most peeps take Therm hardeners on both armor and shields. and large drone ships like gal ones can easy take spares, is it better to use 7 orges constant? or to mix them? (2 wasps 2 'serkers 2 orges and 1 em one (cant remember name)? is this wise or just foolish thinking?

Me too.
Slowly starting to get annoyed with the Ogres... too damn slow, especially if you're in a Thorax.

First off, try to find out what sort of damage type the NPCs you normally fight are resistant or weak to, and use the type most appropriate to that. If you're not sure, Thermal damage or Kinetic damage are a good safe bet, as in general they will hammer through shield and armour at a decent rate.
Some people like Ogres because they "feel" like they do more damage, although they in fact do the same as any of the other types really. I personally have always preferred Wasps (and Hornets if using lights), Kinetic damage takes shields down fairly well, and armour a little faster. It's also less common to find among the shield hardeners, as most go for thermal and EM first.
Another option I often use is a mixed bag, typically a few EM drones (Praetors) for taking shields down, with a larger number of Explosive (Bersekers) or Kinetic (Wasps) to back them up and cook what's inside to a nice golden brown.
It's generally not that useful to carry a mix of all four types, the variation in drone speeds means they get strung out in a line, when they work best firing all together, so try to limit yourself to no more than two different types at once.
Hope that's useful advice, it's worked well enough for me.
