Funny, I went to update my direct x (which was up to date) and the microsoft site had an ad for eve online that said "got game?".
Anyway, I'm having low fps too, and run everything minimal and no sound even. |

A possible help:
Open the prefs.ini file in your eve/cache directory, put this on the VERY FIRST line of the file:
advancedDevice=1
EXACTLY AS IT IS TYPED ABOVE. Any change to the lower/uppercase or placement of the line will have no effect and you won't get the additional graphics options in eve.
Then save, close and restart eve. when you get into game after character screen, hit escape, click the 'graphics' tab and you will be provided a slew of new video options.
One of them is zbuffer. MAKE SURE this is set to 32bit. there are some serious ****y glitches with eve graphics if this is lower........which of course the game defaults to the lower settings.
Play with these and also make sure you change your direct3d settings in windows to more 'optimal' than pretty settings, and it should help.
