not a board game but one similar to games workshop's games, with models you can paint up and assemble and go to battle with!!
Plus if done right, it could maybe help the larger alliances organize tactics etc.....
I would so love the ability to paint the ships the colour I want and be able to have access to them all!! from the humble noob ship to the great titans...

I'd <3 an Eve board game to be shipped IN GAME with ambulation...
Turn based Eve strategy game anybody? Sorta like something FFG would make? (Fantasy Flight Games)
Never played the game that you're all referring to, but it sounds sort've like Warhammer or something. Not so much what I was thinking of, but it could go either (Or Both) ways.
If there was an Ambulation style board game that followed the warhammer style, heh, you could buy and trade the models in game for ISK to build up your army. :-P *Ponders* Nah... if CCP decided to release a virtual collectable game within eve they'd do far better to use cards instead.
It would be better to have a strategy board game along the lines of Starcraft - The Board Game, but a little faster paced.
Honestly, I can't think of how bars will make money... how long will you pay ISK to get your char drunk before the novelty wears off? It makes no difference to you outside the game wether your Avatar is drunk or not. If there were games like this though that were really fun and worth playing, and you had to rent tables at bars to play them... then that would be worthwhile.
The tables would have holograms as opposed to physical board games and peices.
