Ok, so call me a troll - and yes, I am posting under my alt so no one accuses me of advertising our corp.
But seriously - our corp sold around 60 Orca's tonight for around 389 million each in Jita - and the people in Jita simply spammed local whenever we advertised our sales.
We moved our sales to Tash-Murkon and Amarr, boosting our sales to almost 200 Orcas.
Question is - is Jita somehow exempt from any kind of competition or how come they completly mass murdered our sales when we tried to sell the Orca for around 200m less than their cheapest orders.
On a positive note, prices for the orca dropped dramatically when we were selling in Jita - but the people there seem to have some sort of terrible greed and allowed to spam anyone selling for a "below average" price.

I see you are using the 'Free Minerals' exploit to be able to drop your Orca prices down like that....

Sell for whatever price you want, somebody WILL buy them up and relist them at a more appropriate price soon enough.
Besides, at 389 mil each, you couldn't have been making any significant profit... actually, you might have been selling them at a slight loss.
Let me guess "some minerals I refine from ore I mine myself are worth less, my factory slot time is worthless, and I can always sell back the BPOs so they are worthless too", right ?

So, let's see... you need a bit under 6 days of assembly line time if you already have the components (since I doubt you have a Orca BPO with significant PE research on it), and the component average price alone is over your asked sell price (as in, you can get more by just selling the components), which also need MORE than just a little bit of assembly line time... heck, you could probably sell the raw minerals you needed for ALMOST as much as you're trying to sell the finished ship for.
You know what people will do to the Orcas you sold ? They'll move them to Jita and sell them at a 150 mil markup over your price

Hmmm.. Looks like someone cashed in on their ill-gained stocks of ferrogel by trading them for the materials to build the orcas and then went on to sell them for well under market. Nice way to clean that dirty laundry.

389mil is mineral price. They sell them without profit. Most likely even at loss, considering the Tritanium prices. No wonder you sell so many of them, they all get reprocessed....

And this matters so much to you because??? Let me guess you are trying to sell Orcas and they were beating your price, at the same time you didn't have the capital to do what you said someone else is going to do.

Maybe they got a great deal on them and just wanted to get rid of them fast to get the ISK out of it. Low price, fast sales, more capital to work with. Normal price, average/slow sales, competing with everyone else selling at same price less capital to work with. Just because you see one thing and say that they are stupid, it doesn't make it true.

Just a fun fact, some dude recently bought all the mackinaws in Sinq Laison. I mean all off em, and sold thm back at higer prices, and thus making them go for much more now.

I am just kind of Curious.
I see lots of buy orders for Orca's in Forge, Domain & Tash-Murkon from 400 to 500 mil none of them were filled.
Just curious why none of those orders were filled ?
Also noticed that none of the ORCA's sold were put on the market.
Cheapest Prices listing
The Forge ~ 600,000,000 ISK
Domain ~ 570,000,000 ISK
Tash-Murkon ~ 559,5000,000 ISK
So that would mean all your Orca's where sold via contract or trades correct ?
Just seems a bit odd that is all

How did you manage to get them all built considering you are looking at several days build time minimum on the ship, additionally at the pace you claim you would need as many BPO's due to the copy times of the orca bpo, several weeks. Then you consider build/copy times on the components and you are looking at even more time. You are full of it kiddo, I am not even sure what you are trying to accomplish with this?
This doesn't add up in so many ways.

You are not special, Jita local is always spammed. You would know this if you had brains which you obviously don't if you are bragging about selling ships for much less than what you could get. Grats, if what you say is true, you lost out on 60 orcas * 200m undercut = 12B lost. 200 Orcas at a 200m discount means a net loss of almost a Titan. Grats.

Why are you choosing to lose money on your Orcas? There's no medal for losing isk. No one's going to pat you on the back for having such an inflated sense of self worth you think your prices are the righteous ones. Just sell your stuff for a penny under the lowest order like everyone else does, it's the EVE way.

I left a corp because the ceo had this same warped logic. He convinced everyone to put up a POS to research BP, but refused to put a harvester so it would at least break even on fuel (we mostly only had T1 ammo BPO's to research), and he constantly insisted on producing ships and selling them lower at low cost than he could have gotten if he just sold the minerals on the local market.
This kind of behaivor out of not just a few, but a large number of people in Eve explains to me why the economy in the RW is in the tank atm.
