Due Process Gallente CC and C Inc.	Posted - 2008.12.17 17:28:00 - [1] Is there a way to turn off graphics completely? Obviously not through any of the official options, but are there any workarounds? There are some tasks where I find myself navigating completely through the overview and other related UI screens. The graphics just end up being superfluous and I would rather save the processing power. Has anyone ever managed to do that? -dp-

I'd love that in WOW too. No need for nice graphics when I am the healer in a group. I just need some healthbars and then press 1-4 on the keyboard. I don't look at the surrounding, the mobs or the chat, I just heal. Why bother coding something that requires a lot of graphics-power for that simple task, right?

Becuase you'll be able to see everything throught everythign there will no reason for your computer to need to do any work. does that help?

This has been done in the past (can't find the link) and is classed as an exploit so I wouldn't go editing the games files unless you want a ban. Of course writing you're own GPU firmware is another matter entirely although I imagine anyone capable of doing that wouldn't have the time to play EvE as they will be kept busy making tons of ú's working for Nvidia et. al. ~~~~ There is no parody in this thread.
