Just a quick question,
I have a couple of characters who have this back from when you would be able to aquire it at character generation...
The question is: does it work / still work? Was it switched off? I do not believe they have lost it; they still have the skill.

Never worked, still doesn't.

It used to work but I'm not sure if it still does because I deleted that character.
I tested the skill once using a character that had it at level 5 against 2 characters that didn't have the skill.
I put all 3 characters in a frigate with the same contraband items and set them on the same 100+ jump route through areas where the items are illegal. They each started the trip 5 minutes apart.
I performed this test for 5 days in a row and the only pilot to make the trip without once getting killed was the pilot with the skill at level 5.
The pilots without the skill got killed several times a day.
CCP may have changed something since then so it's best if you try it yourself and see what happens.

I had this skill trained at L1 and frequently went afk hauling slaves through high sec, minmatar space in a mammoth. i think the skill was broken in the fact that you didnt get caught :)

Did all characters have the same faction standings?
