I understand Motherships can not use jumpgates. Are all Carriers Motherships or only the top tier ones? It is my understanding some ships like the titan can not doc with Stations? If true do any other ships have this problem? I think I understand some carriers do and others don't. What about Dreadnaughts?
I've not played in a few years and find some of this very confusing. Thank you for you help

My understanding is that any ship with its own jump drive is not capable of using gates, with the exception of Black Ops ships.

By the way, I am an Ishtar and T2 sentries fan. Fight to make the sentry damage rig work for all drones. |

You can think of Motherships as 'supercarriers'. All the normal carriers can dock, as can Dreads, and the Capital Industrial Ship. Motherships and Titans cannot dock. No capital ships can use jump gates, unless you think of Freighters and Jump Freighters as capitals. |

Titans/Motherships: Cannot dock in stations, cannot use jumpgates.
Carriers/Dreadnoughts/Rorquals: Can dock at stations, cannot use jumpgates.
Jump Freighters: Can dock at stations, can use jumpgates.
In the event of an emergency, my ego may be used as a floatation device.
