Hey I just started playing and the server says there are 30 000 ppl playing but when i log in there are like 10 in the local channel and no one talks nor can i find ne actually players? Is the game empty or is it just me? I was also wondering how the pvp in this game is because pvp is an important part of mmos to me and if there are ne corps on here that are active let me know :) thx

O_o You feel like a troll, but here's a response anyway.
Those 30k active players are spread out over about 6k systems IIRC. Some systems will of course be empty, with others having a high concentration. Go to Jita, you'll find 500-1k people active regularly.
PvP is also good, but you need to not cry about losing ships for it to be much fun (unless you never lose ships, but most people do at least a few times). Meanwhile, on the other side of town . . . |

Eve is made up of hundreds of systems. There may be 10 in local where you're at, but jump on over to Jita to see 600+ ppl in local most of the time, with 1,000+ on Sundays.
Eve IS pvp. Everything about eve is pvp centric. Whether you're fighting against other ships, fighting for territory, or fighting prices on the market. The only thing that doesn't involve pvp is doing missions, but the stuff you get from there has to go on the market and therefore you end up doing pvp that way.
There are tons of corps out there, but for beginners I recommend looking up Eve University. They'll show you the ropes, help you understand how to fit ships, train you in some combat, etc. Never been in the corp myself but I see nothing but high praises on the forums.
Just remember that pvp combat in eve is much different than almost any other game out there. When you blow up your enemies ship, he/she has to actually replace the ship. Same goes for you. If you lose your ship, you'll need to make some isk (missions, mining, courier, trading, etc.) to replace it and its fittings. ____________________

What is it with blatant trolls on these forums?
I'm genuinely puzzled as to why anyone would bother... Ah well, each to thier own I guess. --------------------------------------

someone forgot to do the tutorial lol.
You have to be in low security space to PVP with people your are not at war with. HOwever if you join a corp, you can have wars with other corps in igh secuirty space.
Join the militia for each faction and you can PvP with the enemy militia members no matter where you are in space.
Also in 0.0 space anyone can shoot anyone anywhere no matter what no exceptions. 0.0 space is the largest part of the game world and is player owned, no NPC stations.

OK - assuming for a second that you're not a troll. You obviously skipped the tutorial. Perhaps you should go back to it.
But here is the short version: You can shoot anybody any time - but in high sec (systems with security rating 1.0 - 0.5) police shows up and shoots you quick and you get a negative hit to your personal sec rating - if it goes too low you become an outlaw and police will shoot at you any time you enter a high sec system. In low sec (0.4 - 0.1) you get a sec hit - but not police. In null sec (0.0) it's just between you and the other guy.
War decs remove sec considerations between war parties.
The 4 nations all have militias that are at perma-war with 2 other nations and allied to 1 (aka FW = Factional Warfare) - so you have plenty of other militia to shoot at even in high sec.
The 30-40 k players online almost all the time are distributed over 5k systems. Many systems are empty most of the time - while some have hundreds or more almost all the time - pretty much like in RL. You can see the high pop systems on the map (select pilots active in map statistics). --- Save the forum: Think before you post. ISK BUYER = LOOSER EVE TV- Bring it back!
