This has been petitioned but since they are exploiting I'm gonna mention it here.
SCA, ANZAC alliance specifically, have been macro mining in 9-HM04 and QXQ-IX in Querious.
Nice one guys.

Wrong subforum, you want C&P or COAD. _ Create a character || Fit a ship || Get some ISK |

Edited by: InSession on 19/12/2008 21:27:35 It was already apparent that Pure 'Ohana with their infamous 15 hulks losses to Blood Raiders that that group of people we're up to something fishy, ahem, macro'ing. That alliance disbanded and I noticed that remnants of it went to SCA so this doesn't surprise me.

I was going to say Macroers pay their bill but honestly GTC sellers pay their bills. So why ban someone who pays their bills. I mean seriously. If they did we'd be a game of about 10K people online :)

It's an unfair advantage for people who actually sit at the computer and have to work for their ISK unlike people who can go to work and make 100-200mil while not doing anything in EVE.

Bolded the part you missed
Trading actually requires your presence at the computer to do SOMETHING, and half a brain where as macro mining takes some real life money to purchase xyz program, and whatever third party things needed which are not allowed.

Nope it doesn't require input or even for you to be logged, and the figure you quoted is spot on for what my trade alt made today while I was at work.
The real advantage (clue: mack's) is the generation of POS fuel in situ, without having the time consuming and risky transportation.

Let's see, NPC corp alt....unsubstantiated accusations....yup! Looks like an original CAOD topic!
And we wonder why they gave that place rules...
For the record, ANZAC Alliance is elsewhere on an enforced Corp operation. The only members left are registered ratters that pay large ISK sums to the corp for the privileged of staying home in Querious.
Goon alt needs to go play elsewhere... -=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=- PROPOSAL: Chaos Incarnate's Face MMORPG: Many Men Online Role Playing Girls |

I say all miners are cheaters and have an unfair advantage. They get ore to turn into isk for very little effort.
BAN ALL MINERS! They're cheaters

I just got trolled.
On the .000001% chance that you're serious, what stops you from flying a small force recon gang into the system and ganking them all? I mean, 0.0. Make your own rules.

They start aligning to warp out as soon as you enter local. I've come across many macro Ravens and miners before, you can't catch them unless you are in a dictor and already know the belt they are in and they are mining at 0km of warp-in or you somehow have a bookmark.
And I'm not whining about mining taking little effort. All ISK making in this game takes little effort, but it should at least take your attention, all aspects take either minor preparation (trading), or some attention at the present time (mining/missioning/ratting) where as macroing takes a push of a button.

I'd still like to know how people can tell that a gaggle of weak willed slave miners who probably enjoy mining for a corp is the real deal or a bunch of macros. Both use exactly the same ways to mine ice or ore and the larger corps can have a presence nearly 23/7 in the belts if that is what they do to make isk or fuel for their corp. Also with the demise of BACON it seems your 'macros' must have some form of human control to be able to warp out every single time you enter local. So how do you tell?

CCP doesn't take any action against people macroing. Take a look at your random empire ice-belt. Filing a petition against macroers is a complete waste of time, CCP will just closed the petition and that's it.
Think about it though, you need a full-ccount to use a barge. This means you have to pay to play the game. CCP isn't going to ban them, if they would do that all the time then macroing is no longer viable and those users would leave. This wouldn't make CCP very happy, now would it? ---
CCP: 1. Inadequate for or unsuited to a particular purpose or application.
2. Devoid of those qualities requisite for effective conduct or action. |

When every single ship performs in exact synchrony, when all the pilots were created on the same day, when the hauler's pod keeps warping back to the belt...
...that's just a "playstle", right?

Sounds like a multi account mining op to me. When I gang up my 5 ships they all warp or mine in exact synchrony and the hauler is back and forth like a clock to keep up with four max skill gang bonused hulks. They also all have almost the same join date as at the time I was getting tired of the pew pew side of eve and wanted to see what the industrial side had to offer so I made them all at once. Now the pod of the destroyed hauler that mindlessly warps back and forth is a giveaway and I never have said that macros don't exist. I'm just saying that ice fields are very rare in eve and everyone needs pos fuel so go figure if they are clogged 23/7 with scads of multi account mining ops. Are some macros? Probably. Are the majority macros? Probably not.
