I have a pretty eclectic mix, and i don't use media files. I have purchased every CD i own, and i keep them on random in my 100 disc changer so i rarely hear the same thing over, better than the radio! And no, i'm not against DL'ing music or copying it. I just choose to pay my respects to the musicians i enjoy listening too (and yes i know it all goes to the record company, but it's the principal =-) )

I go by the thesis that if it's famous, it's probably good. And so I tend to listen to a few songs from the biggest artists in each genre. Except pop music that can suck my balls. And drum and Bass, that too, can suck my balls. Oh and R'n'B, and hip hop, they can suck my balls too. But erm everything else I will give a try
