well this was a successful first sale, I'm guessing they will have other sales for plex items. people would be wise to hold onto thier plexes for now.
But they won't.
prices already dropped 30 mil off the market in the last 10 minutes. |

I dunno, while the price did spike a little bit earlier I think speculation would prevent it dropping too low.
Also, most of the people who bought those 20 plex are rich enough to afford 20 plex, it's not like they need the ISK so badly they'll instantly cash it out 
Chances are people who bought extra will only sell at ~500, and if it does drop any lower, people will instantly buy it to try and make ISK, pushing it up again.

Considering plexes shot up like 50 mil on average upon CCP's announcement of 'crappy nvidia card for plex' stuff, it would be nice if they came down.

As I type this:
Sinq Lasion low sell = 530M. yesterday = 499M
Jita low sell = 515M, yesterday 530M, two days ago = 500M.
Please explain this massive drop you speak of. |

Some panic selling aside they won't drop that far.
2000 PLEX have been permanently removed from the Market, on top of the usual consumption. It will take some time to be replaced. |

I think it was a nice gesture from CCP to offer anything tangible for your isk.
A GTX560 isn't exactly high end, but if you managed to get 1 or another to put in SLI, then you'll have a nice little benefit to your system which was due to your game play and earned isk.
It's ultimately a choice that many people chose to pursue and good on CCP for doing it.
If they had offered say at GTX680 (I just got mine 3 days ago) for say 50 PLEX, people would still buy it and CCP would still turn a small profit.
It's a game. And if your game money can be used to buy some cool game stuff, then so be it.
I would suggest to CCP to offer a store where you can buy real stuff all the time for PLEX (cards, motherboards, SSD's, clothing, Quafe). Have the PLEX price set at a small profit for CCP and if you get lucky in eve, then feel free to buy something.
Everyone wins.
