Edited by: Jadice Dreamshifter on 20/12/2008 21:08:28 Can one pay using a Maestro credit card? All I can see in the list is Mastercard.
Maestro is MasterCard Worldwide's lead debit brand << description
My card is to be exact made at a bank in my country, BRD, and is in my national currency. Does CCP make the conversion itself? And at what currency rate?
Another question, I see there's a reactivation fee for inactive accounts of 10$, this covers the first month as well, or for the first month another 15$ are required, for a total of 25$?

easiest way to pay if you dont have a credit card is to select the PayByCash option and do a direct deposit into CCP's bank account.
by aware that they only check these deposits on mondays and fridays or something, so it might take a while to clear. - PvPers always say "GB2WoW". the message is that EVE is hard, and people just need to deal with it. wasn't it funny how when nano's started making it hard for *them*, that all went out the window? |

PayByCash takes an extra 3-4$ for its own, and uses a higher currency rate than the actual one, when I calculated, it got to around 21$ instead of 15$, not really a good choice.
I guess making a credit card is the best option.
Thanks to everyone that replied, still need to find out about the re-activation fee issue though.

I also have a Maestro card and was able to pay with it, but the process was rather convoluted.
Like yourself, I could not use it directly on CCP's payment page, however I was able to set up a Paypal account with it, and then used that to buy a game time code online. CCP has a list of trusted resellers of GTCs somewhere on this site, not hard to search for it.
You can also use the pay by cash option, as mentioned above, but that may take several days longer.
