A polite question to CCP.
What are you doing for the Solo/Casual player, of which there are a few. Since I started playing Eve (2003) the opportunities have got smaller and smaller by design. Its great that you have bought so much in for corps and alliances, but solo/casual players are getting less and less unless missions and mining in high sec and the like are your thing and even the rewards for those are getting smaller.

Please no replies (although I'm probably asking for it now) about how I'm playing the game wrong or how I should join a corp, I don't want to, been there done that and quite happy in my corp with like minded friends.

I've been a solo player for about a year now, been playing from 2003 as well, doubt there will ever be added content for players like us though.. |

Lack of creativity. Player since 2006 and there is lots of content... granted most of the time that is doing something to a group using NPC content. There's always an angle for the intrepid and unscrupulous pirate.

Get a probe alt, spend some time soloing around WH space. Hop in an AF, go harass people in low-sec. Buy a Rifter and wardec a hisec corp by yourself and have fun harassing them. Grab something snipe-ey (Harpy w/ rails is fun, 125km out) and follow FW fleets through low sec, pick off stragglers from afar. Max-damage fit a Brutix with cheap parts, get insurance, and go bum-rush a pirate gate camp and see if you can't take down something T2/more expensive than you.
There's loads to do if you put your mind to it. |

it would be cool if players could jump through the eve gate into some kind of mirror of the past earth, and do some stupid solo combat. you know, for fun, for those who don't want to take part in our universe, and want escapism inside a game.
Then we could gank them as they come out, everybody is happy! |

you forgot exploration .... anyway this game is not built with solo players in mind and never was. deal with it.
while this might be a cold answer, it's the truth. if you are looking for solo/casual content outide of missions and exploration, you are playing the wrong game. |

Sorry but once upon a time it was and it it was fun, even casual collaborations such as me hauling for a miner in and out of 0.0 who I'd only met in local which earned us millions, could not do that today (forget about trust) just access to 0.0 and the ability to ninja haul and mine. (Fair enough that the Eve population was allot smaller. I remember when the daily population didn't go much about 5/6k and things where looking a bit shaky for Eve, Then CCP managed to turn things around.)
Deal with it is a pretty useless comment
I remember when CCP first stated that they where changing the game to suit corps and alliances which was cool but now not much left for anything else, it would be a shame if there was no room left for the solo agent or loner ?
Plus your in depth knowledge of how the game was is rich for a 2011 player.

This doesn't even make any sense.
Support showing T2 and faction frequency crystal damage in the info window. |
