I know we're trying to break a concurrent user record and all that nice stuff today, but for the first time ever, I'm getting rampant disconnects. The client does NOT crash (that's new :-P), and a nice window pops up advising me that the socket was closed, etc.
It's happening every few minutes now. Is anyone else experiencing this today more than normal? If not, I'll do some digging and see if I can't blame it on my ISP.

You are not alone - it's happening to quite a few folks from what I can see - myself included. Getting ready to submit a petition.

Yep. Can't play today, I guess, as I can't stay connected for more than about 300 seconds.
Tried logging in 4 or 5 times now, I think I'll find something else to do for a few hours, and come back to this.

No other aspect of my connectivity is affected or behaving oddly in the slightest.

Doesn't have to be. Try running a trace to ccp server IN LONDON. You problably have a timeout somewhere.

You might be right. I'll file a petition with the traceroute output and see what CCP can make of it. But it does look to me like I'm failing to reach TQ in London. I'm coming up on hop 50, and I've had no new output since hope 12, which was this:
12 ipt-ccp-games-1-as35834.lon3.telecity.net (217.20.44.138) 101.141 ms 94.742 ms 97.127 ms
Hmmm...

Possible, but I've been having random "the socket is closed" issues ever since QR dropped....(haven't seen any for a few days though *crosses fingers*)

Not I, 13 hops, I can reliably get there with reasonable pings.
Also, if it drops off there, at 12, that kinda indicates an internal problem with CCP, based on the IP (looks like a border router...). Next hop *should* be 87.237.38.200 (TQ).
Was working OK right before DT...

Very interesting. I've run my traceroute a few times with the same results. Sent one over to CCP in a petition. Perhaps it is a problem on their end. Either way, I'm being diplomatic. I don't want to rain on their concurrent user parade today.
