No I'd say every one of those is seriously wrong, and even if I weren't loath to compare Eve factions to broadly classified groups of modern day human societies, cultures, or religions I'd still say the list was inaccurate.
The only one that really comes close in my mind is to compare CONCORD to the UN... but what serious criminal element have the UN succeeded in obliterating lately?

I agree with Jovians = Canada, only because I'm Canadian, and we do look funny when we get in from the cold (yes there is snow on the ground and its below -1C). Can't vouch for the rest of the list.

Well, some argumentation on why the decision would be such would be welcome. If the title would be "how different factions in EVE would be drawn to the globe in real life, an American view" I could agree.

However, I feel obliged to note that most direct comparisons are doomed to fail. You could say that you borrow a little thing of this and that for the mindset, but even so you can't have a one-on-one match on any historical nation, I believe.

The two most obvious ones are the Caldari as a mix of American and Japanese cultures, and the Gallente as a mix of European Union cultures, most notably, Britain, France, Spain, and Germany.
One must be careful to understand that these may be the inspiration for the some of the factions, but they are not direct copies. After all, this is...what, 20K to 40K years in the future?
