Hello all
After switching back to desktop with eve still running, my laptop (running Windows XP) crashed. After reboot, I can't seem to log on to EVE anymore.
The client starts, the background image showing Quantum Rise pops up, but then the client switches me back to the desktop. The client stays running, but switching to it results in it spitting me back out to the desktop :)
Any ideas ?
Cheers
Anna

I had the same problem after client crashing during a clonejump. Tried reinstalling the client and other things before finding a shortcut in the eve folder named "eve.exe (Safe Mode)". This opened the client in windowed mode and with classic graphics. After logging in and then quitting the game i could start it up normally(just had to change back to full screen in settings).

Try this first...
If you are still having issues try completely deleting/renaming the cache directory
CACHE/Settings locations:
2000/XP C:\documents and settings\username\Local Settings\Application Data\CCP\EVE\client_folder_location Vista C:\Users\username\AppData\Local\CCP\EVE\client_folder_location Mac "/Users/username/Library/Preferences/Eve Online/Preferences/p_drive/Local Settings/Application Data/CCP/EVE/c_program_files_ccp_eve_tranquility" Linux "/home/username/.cedega/EVE Online/c_drive/Local Settings/Application Data/CCP/EVE/c_program_files_ccp_eve_tranquility" ____________________________ I break things.Ö

Deleted client and just installed classic. Runs fine now. Sad that I cannot enjoythe great upgraded graphics anymore but at least I can still play the game. Something was change in the last couple of patches that caused this as I had no problem up untill two weeks ago with premium graphics.
