WHY WON'T THOSE GOD DAMNED SILVER TANKS DIE(Panzers?) EFFFFFS?
I had my original Sherman in good working order, AND the PZ you initially take out. Both with ammo and in good condition. First time I tried taking out the large silver tank, when that didn't work I restarted and tried the baby-sized one, Waste of my time they seem invincible. The whole base camp was pounding on them as well. I had my driver step out and Bazooka them as well, and lay down anti-tank mines.
What's the deal man?
And why can I never seem to find replacement artillery shells(blue one? and what do the red ones do btw) of the right size in any of the ammo drops?
Bah, too hard heh ---------------------------------------- "Cry Exploit and let slip the Dogs of War" |

Wasn't the sherman guns too weak to make a dent in the Panthers armor?

Edited by: Bellicose on 28/07/2004 14:14:28 The german Pz6 Tiger was way better more armored/Armed than any standart tank the allied had a Tiger had no problem firings its 88mm shell trough the front armor of a sherman but the other way around.... if anyone cares heres a pretty nice link to a page about the german Panzer Ac Michael Wittmann the officer you have in the german campaigne ( Wrath of the tiger )
Michael Wittmann Panzer Ace
Quote: he destroyed a total of 138 enemy tanks and 132 anti-tank guns and other heavy artillery pieces, not to say hundreds of other light vehicles. It must be remembered here that his initial tank kills were achieved while he was commander of a Sturmgesch³tz III; one cannot begin to imagine what his final score might have been had the Tiger been developed earlier during the war.
as the allied troops often say in that game "THE GERMANS ARE POSSESED"

You cant take on the medium/heavy german tanks on Head to head, you need to keep an eye on them and try and get them from behind, if u can knock there tracks off with a single grenade from one of your troops, wheil the tanks is busy shooting somthing else, then move you tank in behind and shoot them up the arse, i leave one man in the sehrman as bait, while i move the repaired panzer around the back while the germans are busy pounding the out of fuel sherman!

what you do is blow up one of its tracks with an explosive shell then hit it up the backside with an armour piercing round

I bought this game and I'm happy with it. It's the most difficult RTS I've played, but it's also the best. Taking direct control of a tank and running it through buildings and concrete walls over and over again to chase down enemy units is too much fun. |

Yup Tiger tanks rocked the battlefields. They were not immobile at all as it is often claimed and matched easily the speeds of allied tanks - BUT they had engine failures and Getriebeschõden (I need a dictionary, gez). My grandfather was still in the ******jugend and some kind of mechanic (which he stayed because of a lack of education due to the ending of the war), he later had his own pitstop/gas station and my great grandfather was some officer in the Luftwaffe. Unfortunately I cannot remember him as I was a child when he died but my grandma always talked big of him :)
Ah I'm probably gonna get the game too, will try the demo first. Does the game support coop multiplayer modi ?

Yes you can currently play online in coop games, but the next patc hwill hopefully add 16 player deathmatch and other multiplayer scenarios, also the current multiplayer is far from perfect, and you have to go on the IRC channel to find people to play with, but they are adding support for Gamespy arcade and all seeing eye soon, so it will make it easier to match up!
