Like the title says, I don't get it... On the flash movie on eve-online.com's homepage, the planet in the background spins, but in game, it doesn't.
Now I thought maybe the login screen for QR (Quantum Rise) was maybe just a static image, but it's not that either. AA and HDR settings are taken into effect on the ships  Also, from what I can tell, the engine trails are animated as well. They have engine trails that are animated, but the ships ain't movin'.
What gives?

last time i checked the planet in the background the login screen spinned, and that was 1min ago.

Sometimes I think the planet is spinning, but other times I think it isn't. I am not high at either time.

For me the planet isn't spinning, but when I move the EVE window around and let go of the left mouse button the planet moves a little. The longer I hold down the mouse button the more the planet moves. I can't help but get the feeling that it's not working as intended. Compared to the similar picture on the EVE website my login pic looks like crap anyway. Ugliest login screen I have ever seen used in EVE by a large margin  .

As for the planet though, I sat there and watched the thing for like 2 minutes and it didn't budge. The cheats didn't work either XD
