Hello All, I am new to eve (have only been playing for two weeks or a month) and have been wanting to be able to listen to my own music while playing, either music I have on my HDD or by using a site like lastFM. I searched through the forums a little bit but figured I would just ask because I waned to know about both local music and music through a website.
Thanks, EOSmarauder
PS. lastFM is what I use outside of eve so if that works please let me know.

You can't play any of your own music ingame. If you want to listen to your own music, just turn off the EVE music and use an external media player as you usually do.

If you have an MP3 player or a Ipod one thing you can do is take a 3.5mm cable and place it into your computer's 3.5mm audio in plug, and then plug the other end into your MP3 player or Ipod. You might have to raise the volume up on the MP3 player to maximum before you can hear it. It will play through yuor computer speakers but you control the music from the MP3 player.
At least this is what i do.
This allows you to listen to music but it takes much less processing power than a external program like WMP or Itunes (though last fm prolly doesn't take alot of power anyhow). ____________________________________________ When going to a party with wine, women, and song. This is what I do - mute the in-game music, and have Winamp open in the background playing whatever I happen to feel like listening to.

I make a playlist in WMP, and have that going in the background...and just use the media keys on my keyboard to move forward and back through the playlist :)
