I would like your opinions on an idea I had to make logistics more interesting.
As we have remote reps and remote tracking links etc, why not add remote hardeners to the mix.
You could have the full variety ie them kin expl, em and invul/eanm. (shield and armour)
I don't know what would be the exact amount boosted, that would be something for the balancing team.they would also obviously be stacking nerfed.
I think this would add another dynamic to current logistics. For example you could have two logistics one with reps and one with remote hardeners. Or a mix on a logi ie two reps two remote eanms.
Or if you know you are coming up against a specific damage type (pve and pvp) then you can boost the individual ships accordingly.

WHY not? Explain. Extrapolate. Discuss.
I mean, it'd be a fairly obvious solution to the whole alpha fleet trend. |

Instead of just saying no, provide a reason as well.
This is already available to a certain extent with armor and shield gang boosts.
As the other poster mentioned this will be a viable solution to the alpha fleets.
I personally think this will bring some interesting variables to pvp and pve |

Yeah sure command modules do work effectively as giving a resist boost, but not to specific ships and/or specific damage types.
I just think this would add another layer to logistics. |

I'd say no. Remote rep reps armor points, but remote hardeners would increase the effectiveness of remote reppers immensely. You can only get the resists on your ship so high before the EHP to DPS ratio becomes crippling. This would effectively take that option away.
Five logis are effective, but the ship they are repping still needs modules to boost their resists. Take away those modules and you have some pretty damned effective glass cannons.
Imagine a Vindicator, pure glass cannon with 99% resists (given enough remote hardeners) and logi support? You can get the DPS on those things up to nearly 1500 even balancing EHP and DPS. Instant-pop party. |

Proper Skill Training plus Warfare Links , the right implants, and the right ships = another layer to logistics.
The idea of allowing more than one layer of external hardening is terribly exploitable, particularly since a lot of the modules give boosts comparable to those you can get from invulnerability/adaptive slots in the hands of a skilled booster. I've stopped using my alt for boosting because the shield hardening she'd give my armor tanks would make it passive shield tank complexes. Stack enough of these things, and won't you eventually hit 99% resists or something?
Remind me why it would be a good idea to give supercaps even more EHP? |

Considering the only things that are pure resist damage are Doomsdays, Drones and Smartbombs this would be more of a bane to Super Capitals than a boon. You could tank your Dread or carrier to be immune to Super Carriers and Doomsdays.
