Ive been playing Eve now for nearly 6 months, i was wondering if possible if some of you more experienced players cud give me advice on what skills i need and at what level b4 i attempt piloting my raven (skills i need advice on are missile and shield skills)I wud like to start l4 missions asap, (currently doing l3 missions with ease) ty for your time

It¦s easy... Get u one of the Thousend Raven lvl4 fits and put it into eft...
Look what skills the modules need, and make plan in evemon...
If u dont have the tools...
All skills with "shield" in name at least to lvl4 (except the compensations to 3 only)
Missiles... Cruise missiles and support skills to 4 i would say.
Now u would be able to fly lvl4... but make them slowly to get feeling for the raven and the tank!

im unsure about the fitting tool, how do i get it? i have eve mon installed

There u get it. Type in ur API Information as in Evemon and it shows you if you¦re able to fly ship/fitting xyz

It's important to read the EVE-Survival Mission Reports so you don't mess up the mission and lose your Raven due to triggering a wave of reinforcements.
Edit: A Raven is active shield tanked, so you really should look at training Energy Systems Operation 5 as well as Energy Management to 5. These aren't as important as Shield Management/Shield Operation, since you can always warp out of the mission to recharge your shields and capacitor.
Good drone skills and 5 Hobgoblin IIs will be invaluable in getting rid of tacklers, to ensure you can warp out when you need to.

well if you have been running a drake, you probably have been skilling the passive tanking skills (XYZ shield compensation, shield upgrades, shield op)
with a raven, you need to work up active tanking skills-cap.. energy systems operation, energy management, and shield op (useful for passive and active)
basically you are switching from passive resistance hardeners and shield extenders to shield booster amps, shield booster, and active resist modules.
also yes, cruise missiles.
and anything to help with cpu... where with the drake you are fighting against grid, its opposite with raven, plenty of grid, not enough cpu
