I recently started running missions i like to salvage and loot every last wreck.
I find it hard in my mission running ship because of limited cargo and i need my highslots for guns. Its also slow.
So i fitted an exqurer thingy for salvage and i plan on going back into my missions after everythings dead for the salvage.
But do the rats respawn? Will they blow up my salvage ship?

There's a couple of missions where you can complete the actual objectives, have no enemies on screen, and then a later wave spawns. For the life of me I can't name it but I lost a Hurricane to one awhile back.
But mission NPC's don't actually respawn the way belt rats do, unless you fail to complete the objective before downtime IIRC.

Bookmark a wreck (or one in each room in the complex if multiple), go turn in the mission, and you can warp to the wrecks that are now floating in normal space as the mission deadspace is no longer there

Two-part slaver mission, part one has this.
As to the respawning of missions, your mission will respawn after DT if you didn't complete the objective.

However, if you finish the mission and continue to mine it out...rats do spawn. Hope you got your tank on your hulk ;)
