I recently got an ipod for xmas, and i am looking for music to put on it.
Anything like heavy metal or rock, examples given of taste :-
Rage Against The Machine - Sleep Now In The Fire - i have this video on my ipod already
Combichrist-get your body beat - thats probably the only song a like (lol - the rest suck)
Audioslave - Show Me How To Live
Cypress Hill - Another Body Drops
Iron Savior - Titans of our Time
So any ideas? (btw i have 120GB to fill only 2GB filled)

Here is the problem Shanzem. Sell it and replace it with a Sansa, other than that, mate, I wish you a lot of luck with that useless rubbish called iWant-to-sell-you-music-while-I-mess-your-PC-up-LULZ.
If you're really set on using that iSmug failure I recommend Rammstein, Placebo, Pink Floyd, some Damien Rice, Dido, Everlast, Kasabian, some Ozzy, Robbie Williams, Snow Patrol and the Blade Runner soundtrack. There is more but I don't really feel like posting everything. The ones I highly recommend are bolded.

Edited by: Benco97 on 29/12/2008 17:00:05 I have a first generation Touch myself and while I don't like the iTunes software or apple mentality I have to say that I've had a good experience with my iPod.
Amazingly enough the iTunes store is actually CHEAPER than my nearest music shop (And that's before factoring in fuel costs of a 35mile trip too) so I even use that sometimes. Yes, I could download my music illegitimately but as I'm over the age of twelve I don't really see the point in "Sticking it to the man" like that. Lets be honest, most people who download music and use the excuse that there is no reason for it to be so expensive still wouldn't buy it even if it was a tiny fraction of the cost. I don't support these idiotic prices or publishing labels at all but I still think it's a little silly to pirate everything without any thought. Anyway, that's beside the point, my iPod is a nice little device that I use often to listen to music, watch some videos and even play some simple games.
edit- And before the ghost of DS rises and starts calling me a Shill (As he often enjoyed doing) I'd like to point out that I don't normally like apple products, I think they have a terrible attitude towards their users and their prices are extortionate.

Hay they were quite good during the 80`s and 90`s
Cypress hill i can see were your going, but to be fair i got that album out of interest. There were a few songs on there that peaked my interest. not a follower of that genre music ect.
But then everyone has different taste. after noticing your lack of content or added music or input.. i assume Britney spears or kate perry is more your taste?

seriously, how superficial does your view of music have to be for it to be 'stuff I like' vs 'mainstream pop stuff from 10 years ago, ew' you need to throw away all of your cypress hill stuff and get some jurassic 5 in you

That song is a classic in my book.
As always I will plug CLUTCH. The Reuglator awesome Final Fantasy video. They are the best band I have seen live for a multitude of reasons. According to my rough numbers, since 1990, CLUTCH has played more then 3 shows every 5 nights for 17 years
OPETH if you like some "progressive melodic black metal" My Arms, Your Hearse and Orchid are two stand out albums. Listen to Credence then listen to Karma which follows Credence on the My Arms, Your Hearse album. These guys are like the Pink Floyd of Black Metal.
In Flames - Great Stuff and their progression as a band has been thoroughly enjoyed. Which I may add is an extreme rarity. Jesters Race and Whoralce are favorite old albums and Soundtrack To Your Escape is a real good newer album. In Flames covers Land of Confusion by GENESIS
Monster Magnet are always a good listen.
I may post some others later.
