Remus Kurgan Caldari Void Engineers	Posted - 2008.12.30 03:58:00 - [1] I was unable to find any real informative threads on fittings for Covert Ops. The Buzzard, which is my available covert ops frigate seems to have a very light powergrid, so I'm trying to get some ideas for fittings. Right now, I've put 2 standard launchers and a Covert Ops cloak on, and I have very little PG left for any mid slots. I'm working on getting skills up for a micro auxiliary power core, but is that the best way to squeeze more on those ships? I'd like to hear any suggestions for either a PVP scouting fit, or a scanning/Astrometric fitting and if there are any specialty fittings or unique ideas as well, feel free to post. If anyone has an older page linked, feel free to direct me there as well. Thanks!

Unfortunately, yes. Anything that relies on percentage based boosts to your powergrid is going to be rather meaningless on a ship with 19 grid at Engineering V. When you add a Microcell you get +10MW which is almost a 50% boost. You'd have to fit 5x Reactor Controls to get the same effect. That being said, Buzzard is still a beautiful ship, and if you can accept that it's just not quite as nimble as a Helios for example, then you're good to go. Colonel Xaven Decadence. RAZOR Alliance	Posted - 2008.12.30 19:05:00 - [3] Cov Ops are no combat ships. Scratch the missile launchers. You need a cov ops cloaking device, a probe launcher and maybe a salvager. Mids are Afterburner, analyzer, codebreaker whatever for exploration. For PvP you need a Warp disruptor and an Afterburner / MWD. Lows, well. Speed mods are nice imho. Rigs accordingly for exploration. Proud member of RZR - Decadence.
