I wonder which will be the main topic of discussion in FOOMworld today....the effort trying to prevent the capture of Costolle or the loss of their fully loaded POS fuel transport in Kinakka? The ultimate succes of the former is unknown, the latter seems to indicate a lack of security. Is it possible FOOM can not be everywhere at once?

Edited by: Ramirez Dora on 30/12/2008 14:16:19 Dear god no, not the transport ship! We may have to sell one of our 150 capitals to ensure that this unparallelled loss is somehow recovered from.
Defending a bunker can be fun, especially now that they don't fall over from a single ibis shooting at it.

While we appreciate the credit for defending Costolle, it was not purely Foom. The Gallente Militia stepped up big to help us secure our defense. Foom were the ones to initially see it with pure luck as we were roaming, and we dropped everything to protect it. If it wasn't for te conventional support of the militia after DT, Costolle may very well be in your hands. Props for bringing it with what you had and not giving up. "We are here for our fun, not yours". |

Edited by: FluterEx on 30/12/2008 15:35:28 We wish the Caldari Militia would support us as much as the Gallentes help you. I lost my ship in the first fight at the Mel. Gate but it was good fight. And thank you to all our friends who came down to VV to help us.
Edit: Fly a a smartbombing frig into gate camp was just for the fun of it we knew we probably wouldnt kill anything . ---------------------------------------

Seriously?
We're not the entire Gallente militia. We're specifically and pointedly NOT a defensive militia unit. We were returning from a raid on another location and figured we'd swing through Costolle for laughs - contested that heavily, someone ought to be there, right? System was vulnerable, so we stuck around, hoping the Caldari would send a sizable fleet to attack it. We were right.
Post DT we got bored and left. Costolle is not our job alone, or even our job period. The Gallente have dozens of defensive-only plexers; let's see them step up. If not, well, Black Rise will be all-Gallente soon anyhow.
We're not superhuman or anything like it - we've never claimed to be. We are competent, we are aggressive, and we are focused - that's it. Occasionally our pilots screw up or have brain farts, and kudos to CAIN for nailing one of them and reminding him not to be reckless. (It wasn't POS fuel, by the way - it was his personal carrier jumpfuel.) CAIN still isn't stopping our acquisition of Inolari, though, and they're still nothing more than a thorn in our sides. Our progress continues roughly as scheduled. They provide good fights, they step up big, and we respect them for that.
As for smack from the 22nd...
Right.
We have respect for two members of your corp. Thanks for letting us know not to extend that respect further.

To the Dead Parrots, and the Gallente Militia as a whole: Good fights guys! As a former carebear, I'm learning alot flying against you guys. Hopefully, lots more fun like the battle for Costolle will be had by all many times over in the near future.
Also, being a former Brucie, I'm glad to be flying in the vincinity of FOOM pilots, even if I'm on the other end of the barrel this time around.
As for the smack from the 22nd, well, I guess not everyone can be dignified in defeat. Sorry about that.

I can't say that anybody I seen in this thread any malicious intent. In corp chat, private convos and on our message boards most of our corp has respect for the quality of the FOOM pilots.
I won't lie though, some guys have lost tongues when talking about losses to FOOM, but in general all is good as we try to achieve your status in FW.
My apologizes on behalf of any member who may have crossed a line in or out of game.
Cheers, AX

Grats to the Caldari and especially the 22nd for the success of their campaign so far. Let us know when the next system is vulnerable; have had some fun PvP the past couple days. Or, of course, the Caldari could come visit us in Black Rise and give us more targets than CAIN to shoot at. :)

I actually couldn't believe the timing of the situation...! I pop a minor in Costolle and run it down with a corp mate and then ....Waite the system has dropped to vulnerable!!
Then I realize few militia mates are online deep in Verge Vendorb to help... and 5 minutes later..after the system dropped--->
WTF!!!! a solid Gal Militia fleet jumps into Costolle like the cavalry riding over the ridge.
I was shocked. I shouted spies!! Must be a spy invovled.
I ran like a beaten dog into the station and cried....
But then again I got over all that and now see that the timing was so staggeringly bang on for the Gal Fleet, that I am now glad my Yhazee spazam didnt force me to give my stuff to the next piwat in local.
But then again today's events in Costolle have soothed my nerves and put ammo in my launchers.
Great to see such solid pvp action on all sides and good flying with you peeps here in the war.
Onward

Great fight in the defence of cost before we got it, to all Gallente pilots involved.
Looking forward to next time, hopefully next time you won't jump your fleet in, out then in again.. When you guys came back my PC just plain died, I spent 80% of the 2nd round lagged

I guess that would help your morale a bit, yes ;)
That aside. Stop attributing everything the Gallente militia does to FOOM. They are active plexers and a pretty huge corp with lots of people who are pretty organized. But thats pretty much it.
Spend the time you spend in the forums smacktalking them with killing them instead. Much more fun and they might actually care.

I think you forgot an attribute. We are also a lightning rod as evidenced by the very talk you suggest discontinuing.
We are proud to be a lightning rod of such a nature. It brings more fun to all, even you and CAIN Ladel.

I would hate to think that the 22nd has gained a reputation for smacktalking, I userly make jokes and have a laugh in local but have never to my knowledge said anything to insult or offend the other side, in my eyes we are all good people playing the game for fun on opposite sides, sure I get annoyed when you guys blow my stuff up but then that's the point of the game.
I did make sure to congratulate the entire of the gal militia on costolle's original defence because you all came out in force for that one =) I missed the battle where Costolle fell unfortunately but I hope to be around if any more systems change hands.

True... We only account for about 25% of all the effort of the Gallente Militia.
!# Kills Total - Last Week Entire Gallente Militia: 645 The Dead Parrot Shoppe (FOOM): 141
!# Victory Points - Last Week Entire Gallente Militia: 99.25k The Dead Parrot Shoppe (FOOM): 27.27k

Erm...Ok, but really, no FOOM = no Gallente. Its only the presence of this elite corp that makes the Gals viable.

On the topic of Costolle,
Thanks 22nd and ZiTek for the fight on the Melmaniel (I think) gate in Costolle tonight, it was one of the best fights I've been in for some time.
A++, would shoot again  __________________________________
