I stopped over in a highsec system in Black Rise last week and after 20 minutes I realised it's a complete bot nest.
The more I watched them, the more the whole highsec mission-bot thing got on my t*ts. I mean really, really aggrieved me. These b*stards are just taking the p*ss. Watching 6-8 identically-fit CNR's logging on together 15 mins after dt (and that's just ONE botter-player) is enough to make me spit at my screen.
Are there any corps or just players out there dedicated to ganking/fazing these macro players? Because if there are, I'd like to know, maybe even bring a decent pvp toon to join you.
I've already discovered that nicking a mission objective (eg. The Damsel) stops a bot in its tracks. It just sits there for hours trying to extract an item that doesn't exist. Thereby at least stopping one account of whatever w**ker is controlling it from a few hours' worth of isk.
But I want to kill these little sh*ts. I will burn sec status and isk on Canes & Nados if I have to, but if there are other ways (pulling a room's full aggro maybe..) I would dearly like to hear them. Not in this thread ofc, just mail me in-game.
If you are a like-minded individual, I DO want to know in here.
And if you fancy ganking a 1.2bill CNR with 4-5 other guys who hate bots, then 'fess up. I'll get hold of you and tell you where to come

Why are you so intent on ganking these toons that clearly have absolutely no interest in PVP and purely wish to engage in EVE's in-game PVE content?
If they are indeed bots, just use the 'report a bot' feature and CCP will determine if they are a bot and take appropriate measures. If they don't get banned then that must mean they're real and not bots players, and attempting to take things into your own hands means any combination of the following:
1) You're a wuss/coward in real life and have to be a bully in game to feel better about yourself.
2) You want to blow ships up in hisec because you lack 'real' PVP skill and/or couldn't hack it in null/low.
3) You are just a griefer who has no interest in actually getting "good" at EVE. (Whatever being a good EVE player even means)

Every single high sec ice miner in the game is a bot. You can report them all day long, CCP won't do anything about it. Hence the vigilante justice a number of players engage in. I haven't been active the past month or so but I'd be up for a few ganks. I don't expect to turn any sort of profit, but I don't want to be burning my limited isk reserves doing it either. This toon is an outlaw and would be the one doing the shooting if you can come up with a viable plan. I've never hunted high sec missioners as the calculations I've done always show me losing just as much as them, if not more unless it's deadspace fit (even faction is a losing proposition it seems).
But if you can come up with something reasonable, count me in. Killing carebears, especially botters, is one thing that never gets old. So throw me an in game mail with your ideas.

Confirmed... I ice mine occasionally and those that I sit in the belt with are always chatty and have humans at the controls...

You think mission bots are bad? Wait till you have to contest a bot incursion fleet...who's lasers all come on at the same time etc.
If they want to cheat in a game off somewhere remote, I won't care enough to haunt them. When your running fleets trying to chase down sites in a crowded incursion system, it is more than annoying. Figured CCP still in control, seen some games lose control of hacking. Its a virus that has to be continually innoculated against. Some folks just don't have any class in RL or in a game, it's a human problem. |

not every ice miner is a botter im not a botter yet i mine ice mainly for the fuel and a stock pile of heavy water to use in rorqual
not every miner is a botter and not all mission runners are. I mine ice on my alt while running missions on my main. this pays for any pvp i wish to do |
