I have been a avid player of eve poker for a few years now. I wonder if any one has any thing to share?
ever suspect orginized cheating?
i dont think the people who run eve poker are the cheats. they have always treated me fair and i have always got what i payed for.
but it does acure to me that the game client poker mavens is probibly easy to comprmise by computer geeks you the kind that live to play eve. |

id just like to say that whenever we discover cheating, the bans are usually immediate. and since play styles dont change depending on your name, we can usually pick up alts easily

The client only receives information about its own cards; the only way to cheat, therefore, is either collusion between players ("I have AA, reraise PF with your 72o if nobody raises my smooth-call") or manipulation of the network ("I got mysteriously disconnected from the server; can I have my money back?" or "I'm losing, so I'll just freeze the game and/or crash the server now, kthxbi.").
The first one is hard, but hardly impossible, to catch. The second type is just blatantly obvious. What I believe you're concerned about--i.e., the ability to see what hands each player holds--is only possible for the person running the server, and even then it's designed not to be a straightforward thing to do.

There probably is some cheating everywhere where people is gambling.
Very hard to prevent all cheating when you mostly have players that are very used to voicecomms.
However I very much doubt that there is a great big conspiracy in EOH though. At least I can't point a finger at anyone and claim that they cheat - and I play fairly much.
