Ah, back in station dock...a nice relaxing place where you can work on your training...dah dah dah. NOT. Those stupid searchlights are irritating...devs please lose them; they add nothing to the game.

I'd agree to this if they gave us the option to adjust the gamma levels in EVE. My screen is fairly dark so I only ever get a really good look at my ships when docked with the spotlights.
(In b4 get a new monitior)

Have you tried disabling the station interior? Should be in the escape menu under the graphics tab.

Yeah, I unchecked the box "Load Station Environment" which took care of the issue, thanks. When I started this thread, i really saw no use for these annoying searchlights, but if someone finds them useful, so be it.

Those are not searchlights, those are spotlights 
Ah well, but anyways, I agree. 
The lights in Gallente stations can be pretty annoying. Switching off station interior doesn't always help.

Sorry sir, but I beg to differ: I actually measured the light coming from my monitor:
It was ~ 2,000,000 Lumens
A simple spotlight has only ~ 11,000 Lumens
So, yes, they ARE Searchlights!!!
