Got a few days b4 I need to decide what level 5 frig (race) to train would like to here some feedback on the current state of play with inteceptors with recent patching.
Guess I am currently looking at the Caldari and Gal inteceptors.

[Gal]Taranis is an INSANE damage dealer and can tank pretty well to but you have to be intimate with your target to do the damage proberly best anti frig ceptor. ( my personal choice)
[Cald] Crow max damage at any range with missiles and no energy cost to fire so all cap can be focused on speed boost and webbing/scrambling. Damage bonus limited to kenetic only but the boost is proberly worth the draw back. The major major problem is the crow is 2x3 times more exspensive then any other ceptor atm dunno why maybe agents not giving the tech 2 parts or the mass of war in eve pushing up prices on a popular ceptor so supply cant meet demand.

i dont use it for pvp but it will do well against indys and frigates
if u want one for pvp go for the stiletto it has better med slots

All interceptors are overpriced :/ Just look at the insurance payouts to see what CCP thought they would cost :/

possibly overpriced, yes but worth it in my opinion, they are amazing fun to fly. .
Technically all tech 2 is expensive you have to pay the most for the best modules, i bought my crow for 9.5million and it was worth every penny, yes the insurence doesnt cover the loss but 10 million isnt all that much to lose

10 mil is alot to lose for something which dies in seconds :P Even if it is an elite frigate, its still a frigate and its not worth 10mil :/

Have you ever flown an interceptor or tried to kill one in a cruiser? If you havent got heavy drones your screwed. At least against any half decent ceptor pilots.

Works both ways i suppose:
I can do 95% of level 3 missions in my Crusader & Malediction:
I can also take out most cruisers PvP in my Crow, its just the ones that spam missles (lots of missles).
I can handle a few missles with now bother at all.
But if you come up against 2 or 3 cruisers (PvP) then your gonna get your ar*e well and truley whooped!!!
But overall, you can cope in an Interceptor quite well.

Webber+ smart bomb
2x Multi Spectrals
Drones
Even a normal frigate can do some serious dmg against an interceptor ( if not kill it sometimes ) and they only cost about 200k at the most :/

Yes, since they came out and constantly flying both cruisers and ceptors. Normally don't even bother to get the drones out because that will scare interceptor pilots off.
Fit any cruiser with the following and you kill any close range ceptor in under half a minute:
1600 armour plate
web
small blasters
