Hi!
I'm hoping someone can give me an EFT fit of a good small gang/fleet pvp rokh, i've been a Raven pilot and so i'll be low SP in terms of blasters / hybrids etc so take that into account or suggest what's best and i'll skillup for it, I was checking battleclinic and this one seems to be good judging from comments but i'm really not sure: http://www.battleclinic.com/forum/index.php/topic,9825.0.html
Thanks

Why long range? active tank i can see for a small gang (define small btw, i think 4 people is a small gang, some people think 20 is) as the incoming damage is generally small enough to tank.
heres what i would use, if i had a tackler and maybe recon support:
[Rokh, Blasters/Active Tank] Magnetic Field Stabilizer II Magnetic Field Stabilizer II Power Diagnostic System II Damage Control II Power Diagnostic System II
Quad LiF Fueled I Booster Rockets X-Large Shield Booster II Shield Boost Amplifier II Heavy Electrochemical Capacitor Booster I, Cap Booster 800 Invulnerability Field II Invulnerability Field II

thanks but i'm looking for something a lot more easy on the SP, 80 days training to fit most of that stuff for me like 40 days alone for the blasters

just downgrade everything to tech 1 and watch your skill training time drop to about 10 days. then slowly train up to get tech 2 everything. |

Well, the Rokh is a ship that is very good. IF you have the right skills. Better to go for a Raven.

If you can't fit it, don't fly it

More fun than sitting in an underfitted Rokh, watching the hard earned ISK blow up around you.

depends on your idea of fun, if I had sat in a frigate for months while getting the "must have required raven skills in order to do lv4's" I would have quit long ago out of boredom
now instead of trolling why not try helping? if not why bother making a post?

Not a troll, just a thought.
But seriously, if you're really making the jump straight from Destroyer to Battleship, you're going about it wrong. Or rather, the hard way.
If you train up by class, you'll find that all your support skills build up around you with each increment in requirement for each step up. For example, once you can fully T2 fit a Cruiser / Battlecruiser, you're probably just about ready to jump into a Battleship with just a few more skills.

Whats not fun about frigates or cruisers? Massive amounts of pvp happens in the cruiser bracket. You will also learn all the pvp skills that dont show up on your characters skill sheet ;)
I would rather be killing intys with my rifter than dying to rifters in my rokh because its under fitted and underskilled.

terrible advice. many people go inty/AF/cruiser (whatever can make u some cash) straight to BS. training for a T2 fitted BC or HAC is a complete waste of time if u dont plan on flying those to begin with.
that being said, you should hope youre in a really good gang cuz the rokh needs the support, especially under-equipped.

Rokh is definatelty not a solo boat, even with excellent skills. A gang-Rokh exists for one purpose - to do damage and not die too fast if primaried.
If you can't fit t2 blasters and a t2 tank, you're best sticking to a Raven until you can. Torp-raven does excellent damage and can pack a suitable buffer. Putting the 'irate' into 'Pirate' |

His point is PVE is different from PVP. Sure you can run l4's after a couple of weeks in a bog standard raven. Try to PVP in those fits and all you will accomplish is to make someone a big happy KM.
Fitting certain t2 mods on pvp ships is nigh-required simply because of the level of improvement they provide. T2 mods are readily available, and relatively cheap compared to their higher meta lvl t1 equivalents.
The second point that is brought up relates to how often your shiny toys go boom. In pvp consider how the loss of that ship will change your wallet. The loss of a Rokh can be pretty darn harsh, especially when you're just starting out pvp'ing. My advice would be to stick with *sigh* a properly pvp-fit drake for the roaming gangs. A raven can be a nasty pvp ship as well, but it requires solid torp skills and a certain level of suicidal tendencies
The loadouts mentioned are excellent examples of goals to work towards though. I'd recommend focusing on the t2 utility items, and the gunnery *suppor* skills. Get them to IV quickly, then you can decide where to move from there.
