Sorry you had to fall for it - that is a VERY well known scam among EvE veterans. GoonFleet does NOT solicit members in-game, ever. To join the Goons, you have to be a member of the Something Awful forums (a paying member, that is) - then make the appropriate contacts OUTSIDE the game. If you are EVER approached in-game by a member of GoonFleet or it's auxiliaries, it's a scam. Period.

That's why you have to be an active member at the SA forum for at least three months or something unless you have a solid reference with a current established Goonswarm member. I don't think the EULA permits people to charge money to be in a corp, but the SA/Goonswarm thing is a unique scenario.
