A friend of mine told me that he saw in either PC Gamer or Computer Gaming World that there is a large possibility of EVE being cancelled in the new year 
This ruined my day, and if true, my life.
Can anyone varify this article in either magazine? my friend can't remember which one and weither it is this months or last month.

No, its true. The plan is to push Shiva back to Jan. 2nd, but shut the servers down on Jan. 1st

Eve is a cash cow right now. They worked very hard to make it a cash cow. They like the game too (thats what I like about them). I seriously doubt that they will let the game go so soon.

i wouldn't worry xarix, as long as ea doesn't buy ccp we'll be alright... uh, that wasn't in the article was it? <shudders>

Thats got to be the lamest lie ive read in a while LOL With the playerbase increasing as it is, and no sign of a new game even being thought of, just great upgrades for EVE, im 99.9% certain that its bull LOL Or is the Y2K bug 5 years late LMFAO

You know, if CCP was in any kind of financial trouble, they'd be laying off people. Which they are not doing, or my cousin the art-freak-with-friends-from-school-that-happen-to-be-in-CCP would've heard about it. So your friend can suck it.

I dont think eve will be canelled for the next 11-79 years :).. i tihnk i read somewhere that eve had 50k subscribers.. :)

Dont worry about it... CCP bought clones for all their workers and servers so if any of them die they are immediatly replaced....

For example. why the fnark would they run a fanfest in October if they were closing by January...

I doubt strongly that Eve will die within the next 3 years. If we "as the addicts we are" want to keep Eve around for a long time its up to US to spread the Gospel and infect more people with the Eve bug. Now if you dont mind I have to log in now. I'm getting the shshhaakes and nenneeed to get mddyaily eerve fix. Need a Bistot mainline... (slaps a vien in anticipation.)
