What exactly happens here? The news now is that sentry guns will shoot anyone flagged. I'm assuming this is only inside 0.1 - 0.4 areas when people shoot you at belts then run and hide at stations. Is that big red box around a player the indication he/she has been flagged?

i though this meant that sentry guns would open up on anyone -5.0 and lower even in low sec space(0.1-0.4)? I mean that was a p1ss poor explination in the news, hopefully a mod will explain it to me. I don't have a bad security but it think it still effects me as an eve player...
I'd ask the GMs but after the 4 days to respond they say things like, "you can't camp low sec space beucase of the sentry guns at gates" and I just can't talk with people who don't understand the game mechanics :( |

The information on the patch that contained the aggression timer changes can be found at:
http://myeve.eve-online.com/updates/patchnotes.asp
To quote the patch notes on this specific issue: "If a character is criminally flagged, the flag stays active for 15 minutes _after_ the criminal activity. The timer does not expire after jumping between solar systems. If the player commits another criminal act while the flag is active, the timer restarts."
