I agree with you. At the last place I worked I that song and this song were played excessively and I called them both stalker songs.

You only just realised that? It has been considered a classic of its type for quite a while.

In fact, Sting has said it's about stalking. He said many people like to play it as their wedding song, which he finds just a tad icky.

Wired already pointed that one out with his link to 'Young girl'. Although the original single of 'Young Girl' that he linked was written about a girl who was emotionally immature rather than physically. I recall at the time it was released, a radio interview with the artist who wrote it who said he was inspired by his ex-girlfriend who was emotionally too young for a relationship.
