I have been looking for an app for my iPod so I could log on and check my skills using a 3rd party software, I found a software called eve tracker, has anyone tryed this?
There's no way I'm going to dowload it to my iPod touch unless ccp knows about it etc.
I don't think you can change skills on it but I think it's more of an evemon style app but for the ipod.
The creaters are called shaggy software llc and they link a website: www.shaggysoft.com
If anyone has any info on this that would be awesome.

I tried that one on my ipod was ok no real complaints although I ended up downloading capsuleer from the app store instead as all I wanted was a skill timer and preferred the look.

I like Capsuleer tbh. It's limited but looks nice and does pretty much all I need regarding EVE and a Phone. _____________ Hai. |

Eve Tracker on iPhone from the App Store is fantastic - you can't change skills with it of course, but you can check your progress and it reminds you to change skills.

Or if you're like me, you forget to change a skill anyway. And then while you're at work, you check Eve Tracker to find that you have no skill training and then just spend the rest of your day at work angry at yourself.
sadly, this has happened more than once...

I have EVE Tracker and Capsuleer. Capsuleer is prettier, but EVE Tracker will let you check what skills you currently have trained, and how long it will take that character to train to the next level.
I mainly use EVE Tracker as a masochism tool, to remind myself of the times I forgot to switch to >1hr training skill before leaving for work ;)

OTOH, seeing that you 29d20h30m skill is now a 29d20h10m skill doesn't exactly brighten your day either.

Yup, but it's comforting that I can go away for the weekend and see that my 17d Mining 5 skill has dropped to 15d, and I can stop fretting about the game and keep enjoying my holiday!

I found a program in the iTunes store called iClone, which not only monitors your skills, it also includes corp info, POS data, assets, item database and a jump planner. It does need the Full API key to use some of the functions... but the other functions still work with the limited API key.

Hmmm, there all cool, iclone sounds good too. I'm Highly surprised that CCP hasn't created a little Iprogram, one that is a text based version of the game that will list where you are, how much isk you have, skills in motion, corp info, what ship you are currently in and it's fittings in another page etc also to change skils and view assets :p etc. (I bet i'm not the only one to wish this as well).
Guess these programs will have to do for the time being. --------------------------------------------

CAPSULEER
v1.1 is coming out fairly soon, with some significant upgrades to the app. Not knocking the other apps, but as a user, I prefer not to download a 90 meg application over wireless to my phone.

90 meg? Oh, you mean iClone. Capsuleer is 751k, EVE Tracker is 569k - and does more than Capsuleer. Capsuleer is prettier though.

I thought Apple had a limit of 10MB for Edge/WiFi installs? I'd always assumed people installed iClone (and other large apps) from iTunes or over wifi. TBH I'd rather the app was smaller, but the item browser and capital jump router need large chunks of the CCP data dump. ________ iClone - an OS X and iPhone Skill Tracker iClone Support

Capsuleer gets my vote (after having tried all 3 apps).
Capsuleer is very robust, quick to install and the slick API install tops it off. Very much looking forward to the new promised version with extra functionality as well.
iClone is ridiculously large and although it has extra functionality (at the moment) doesnt seem any where near as polished.
Eve Tracker is also very polished and works very well. It has some odd behaviour at times when you approach finishing a skill and doesnt seem to update as fast or as smoothly as Capsuleer.

Anyone who buys mac products (comp, ipods, iphones) is stupid. Mac products are horribly overpriced (even more then pc) and lacks the programs and compatibility of a pc. CCP ignore mac users, they're a small percentage of your customer base. Stop trying to be different and just buy a pc already. Microsoft is your OVERLORD

Grow up. I use pc and mac. Both have advantages and disadvantages. On the subject of phones, my wife prefers the Blackberry and I prefer the iPhone. It's a matter of what personal choice. Again each is better at different tasks.

You must log in to EVE in order to do anything, All these apps do is show you things/tell you when your skill will finish.
