Best ever: about 10 minutes total time. It was a system I'd explored in before, so I already had bookmarks for quest probe placement. I got a return on the first analysis of quest probe, deployed a sift, pinpointed it on the first analysis. I literally spent more time flying around dropping probes than I did scanning.
Worst ever: gave up after a total of 5.5 hours. I spent two hours one night, 3.5 hours the next day scanning. I used up four complete sets of quest probes and part of a fifth. I never got a hit on the site that was supposedly there. ______________________________________________________ Isn't it enough to know that I ruined a pony making a gift for you? |

Edited by: Galvanized on 05/01/2009 20:24:54 Uusally i can pinpoint them in my home system really quickly but the last few days a radar site appeared....mmmm i thought can't wait to get my hooks into you..
After about 2 hrs of questing i got a hit on planet 4 signal strength of 0.032 ! ( with all skills at lv 4 ) so i warped to the point and dropped a pursuit...
Rubbing my hands with glee at the thought of all the nice bpc's awaiting i scanned for 4hrs str8 and didn't get nothing..nada...zilch...even tried combs and sifts..
the following day i dropped a multispec again...boom still there...only someone else was looking as well and i had to go to work. So i convoed him and asked him to bm site if he found it and let one of my corpmates fly to him ( i told them not to attack him ...low sec.. ) and Bm the site.
I logged back in ltr that night to find that he'd done it and i was warped to the site which was .2 Au from where my original quest landed me....i cudn't f****ng believe it 4 hrs with combs , pursuits , etc and it cudnt pick that up...feel a bit gutted at the moment but hey tomorrows another day and they'll be plenty more....Gl exploring everyone it is a nice change if u mission a lot for ur isk ( ironically i could have nade about 200mill in the time it did'nt take me to find it !! doh )

usually 90seconds + warp time + 90 seconds. So from moment i deploy quests till i get to the site its like 4 minutes.

Best time : About 10 mins for a Radar site in empire (probe drop and scan)
Longest time : 6hrs+ with 2 of us scanning down a Radar site in Deklien near VFK.
Was worth it...Net profit was about 600M each

In empire... low sec or high sec? I'm just wondering what to expect from high sec radar sites since my low sec work keeps getting interrupted by gankers. |

For me, high sec, usually depends on the site. Base 1 radar plexes usually about 10 minutes but Base 4 can be over an hour with my relatively sucky skills. Same with unknowns, the simple sites maybe 10 mins, whereas DED 4/10 and its unrated equivalent maybe an hour. I've spent longer on some, sometimes only because the site has been exactly in the tiny tiny little blind spot I've overlooked. |

My quickest was about 10mins if you include dropping the probes, scanning, etc.
Longest was about 4hrs to find a Professional Hacking Site.....
Sometimes I wonder if this a 'game' or work...lol

Quickest was the same as some others here...drop probes, scan once with each and hit site...
Longest for me, though I've only been exploring for about two weeks in low sec, was about two hours and a half.
I'm dreading heading into null sec to spend four plus hours in one system.

Shortest : quests, result, sift, result, so 10 mins including deploying.
Longest : 6 manhours (3 guys probing for 2 hours) resulting in a 10/10 that dropped over 2 billion in modules.
