As the game is set up right now I think trading in slots is about as low as U can get. That goes for buying and selling them. My guess is that there are not to many buying slots unless they can get the whole station(which I think is stupid). But untill CCP devices a system for trading in factories and labs me and my pals are not spending a single ISK on an already rented slot.

There is a shortage as people will not just cancel the rent. Instead they insist of trying to sell them having never used thmem in the first place.

I thought that in order to cancel rent in a factory, you actually had to drive there to cancel it? Do you know of an alternative to just shutting it down?
I am willing to trade and/or sell the factory slots I am not using in other parts of Eve that I am not exploring or staying put.
I figured if I was going to drive 30 jumps to cancel rent on a factory, it was worth it someone else to buy it from me for my trouble of driving 30 jumps.
Then again, if nobody wants to buy them, then when the rent comes due, they can just go first come, first serve. I have no intention of paying next month's rent on the factories we have left behind, but I am not just going to waste my time jumping 30 jumps to help alleviate the market.
