I am starting up a new lottery from today. (11 tickets sold 2 hours after opening join in!)
The lottery will be based on incomming isk and have 3 Winners.
Prices will be :
1st place : 40% of Lottery isk
2nd place : 25% of Lottery isk
3rd place : 15% of Lottery isk
If f.e. the total incomming isk for this week is 100m :
1st --> 40.000.000
2nd --> 25.000.000
3rd --> 15.000.000
The remaining 20% will be the fee for me for administration.
Sponsors are welcome, the full 100% of sponsor isk will be added to the lottery.
Tickets are 5000 isk a piece and can be ordered as follows :
Transfer isk to the Character "Justagame" this char is only for lottery use.
Transfers under 5000 isk are seen as donations.
Buy as many tickets as you like.
Every week on Saterday i will draw the 3 winners using a random number generator.
The winners will receive their winnings that same day.
If there is less than 5 people joining all isk will be refunded.
You can contact me in game via my main character "River Flow".

Very good question. I am aware of the BIG lottery of course.
The reasons for my lottery over the BIG one are :
1-Total transparency 80% of isk is returned to players in price money
2-Three substancial prices instead of 1 really BIG one
3-Weekly event and if not enough people join you get the isk 100% back
If the lottery has enough people joining, i will open a website for it. Otherwise check this space for results. Thank you.

However... More questions...
1) Does your Corporation intend to allow sponsors? Is this lottery backed by any larger corporations (financial solvency issues?)
2) The this might be a scam question comes to mind... :-)
3) More detailsto future lotteries, also in the future since you take 20% off the top, will there be larger, solid bp type prizes instead of cash etc etc? I guess what i'm getting at is ... if 100 mil goes in what's 20 mil other than pure administrative costs, which doesn't seem like alot to me i guess...

And big have give more than 1 prize but lack of players means its been 1 prize for last 2 draws.
Why not play the big lotto and help get ticket sales upto a lvl at where they can give more than 1 prize again.

Yes atm i take 20%. Like all players in Eve i want to make a profit so i can spend isk, so others can make a profit. If you read carefully you can see that i sponser this weeks lottery with 1m which means that as it is now I LOOSE running the lottery. Which is ok with me as i want to make it known and i want people to start to trust it.
Also i mentioned earlier, if this does work my take will be reduced to 10% and even lower. Also non isk prices will be included when i get enough people joining.

Don't know about the big system, but on mine you can see current prizes, tickets and so on.
The 20% take is atm below 0% so it's a "give" this is due to myself sponsoring the startup. Next week will have no sponsering from myself and a fixed 10% take.
Unlike BIG i cannot afford not to make a profit (yet)

I could help design you an online database kind of like your spread sheet now.. but more static where you just fill out a players name how many tickets they bought and it will do all the calculations for you.. your 20% keep what goes to the lotto.. sponcers.. all of it.. if you have any interest please let me know in game or here.
