I am a new player to Eve and must say it is an awesome game but has a very cliff like learning curve but that keeps the interest up. I do however have a major gripe and that is having to log into the game to stop and start skill training. I know this has been raised before so I will explain why I feel there should be an addon for eve so this can be done.
I work 12 hours or so a day and cannot log into eve as a game as that would be very bad for my employment prospects. I use Evemon to plan my skill training which works out the best way to train in the least amount of time but that isn't possible. At the moment I am at work and will lose 12 hours of said skill training as I cant log in. I left it this morning training a new skill to level 2, that would have completed agaes ago but I am stuck at work so therefore cannot start it again.
I know it is to encourage someone to log in but if it will take me nearly 2 months to train for a Hulk then that will actually mean 4 months or more. Does anyone know if this is being planned or if it can be done.
Thanks

In order to do that the skill needs to be at level 3 or 4 but I cant even get that far at the moment, hence my request.

i think you'll find this has asked for or at least talked about a lot before. dont think CCP will take you up on this offer. Just think the good thing is that your actually training for the hours your not there. If you were playing any other MMORPG - you would have to sit at your PC for 3 hours and grind your skills out anyway Be seeing you.... |

Yes but I also wouldn't have to wait 4 months to train to pilot one ship. As for the training when im offline, I maybe get 2 or 3 opportunities to train at the moment due to lack of PC access at work and when i am sleeping lol.

i'm not against any "Skill Queue" and those other ideas...
but I for my part think that the planning of the skills is a very important part of EVE and shouldn't be removed.
As a previous poster said "set long skills when you're away for a certain time".
Of course you can lose some hours of training at the beginning cause all your skills are too "short", but it will only take 2 days till you have a "backup" skill that isn't primary, but very nice to have at the end. Like Cruiser V and Battleship V. Both take about 1 month to train but are "useless" for a new player.
Once you've completed one of those skills you'll have plenty of long skills to jump while sleeping or working
