Not sure if this is the right forum, but here goes...
So I'm flying through Caladari space in my empty shuttle on autopilot, and suddenly as I'm approaching a gate one of the NPC navy guys blows the crap out of me.
Wasn't carrying any contraband, and while my standings aren't the best (-5.12 with Cal.), my sec status is just fine (0.97) and it was well into empire (0.9 sec space).
Anyone have any idea why a wonderfull Caldari Navy Vice Admiral decided to blow the crap out of my shuttle? |

At -5.12 with the Caldari, it's possible they simply don't like you.
Faction standings make a difference for travel in faction-navy patrolled space. Not sure if -5.12 is bad mojo standings though, I never leave low-sec.  |

when you go below -5 to a faction like caldari you will get attacked by the caldari police in their space. |

Minus two with a faction nd you can't run missions with any of their corps and minus five and they attack. |

I had something similar happen cept by the Gal Navy 
Diplomacy does help fix this though if your standings arn't TOO crappy |

-5.12 is pretty bad, not sure if there is any way to pull them back up...

Will diplomacy help with the KOS issue, or just allow access to agents, the description's a bit vague.
As i see it, my only option if Diplomacy doesn't fix the KOS issue is either to A) Stay away from Cal Space, or B) Do storylines for a friendly faction to get standings. Seeing as my Amarr standings are far worse my best option is this cars is to do Ammatar, correct? |

Make a friend do caldari navy missions and pay him to share the reward with you, that way you standings will go back up.

I have a second toon that has practically got no standings with anyone, and thusly can do CN missions. Do i need to be in the same system whilst fleeted, do only storyline missions count, or will i get Caladari standings from all missions? Thx in advance.

You can't get faction standing bonuses from running missions with a friend/alt IIRC.

I think so too, but I think you can get standings to an individual agent enough to start getting the missions yourself, and then you can do the storylines which give faction standing.
Never done it myself, but the big boys told me so.

So my only real option is to grind another friendly faction as per http://newedenlibrary.net/eon/faction_standings.shtml yes?

you can get faction and corp stanging. If you are in the fleet when the mission is turned in and the mission owner shares.
That how my alt is able to do lvl 4 missions without ever firing a shot.
edit: it will be divided by the number of people in the fleet.

Yeah, first time I wandered into Gallente space in a Slasher, the G-Po-lease decided the wanted the opportunity to deprive me of my ride. I am not sure what my standings were with the Gallentes were then, but they are sitting somewhere around -6.5 now. Guess that means I can't enjoy their fine lines of cheese and pates'. |

Here's what you do.
Hop in something with a tank, Drakes do it well.
Blow the **** out of the Faction Police. Concord doesn't reply, same as blowing NPC haulers out of space.
FacPol don't point you, so you can leave when you please, they don't deal Concord class DPS, and they can be destroyed just as easily as any other NPC. |

They do however, respawn though. Quite fast too, so you'll never rid a gate of Faction Police, they warp in a replacement for whatever you just blew up just a second or two after the deed is done, IIRC, I've not actually done it since I did it the 1st time and that was months ago.
