Drones that could do salvaging for you would be great, create them please, they would rock hard

should we also have tractor drones? and mission collecting drones? and cargo drones?
do the job yourself rather than being lazy.

Real constructive, attack the person, rather then the idea... if you think the effort currently required to salvage is the balance to the economics of Rigs and the like, then please state that, but don't attack a persons character by calling them lazy...
anyways...
I was wondering about that too, but its been posted numerous times, it seems right now the game mechanics don't really allow for it or make it very difficult to code. I'd be happy with just Tractor drones and salvage myself, as flying to 30 + wrecks that are withing a 100km range of each other gets a little time consuming for my playtime.
Here is my post: Tractor and Salvage Drones Here's another one from someone else Tractor Drone and another one: Salvage Drones

thing is, if you had a salvage boat (maybe even a ship designed specifically for salvaging), then you could do the job very very easily and quickly.
For eg. You could have a thrasher (granted only 650m3 of cargo), outfitted to run 1.2km/s or faster quite easily.
however, the better idea might be a ship designed purely for salvaging in mind.
so low armor and shields, some drone space (for either tractor beam drones (if such will ever be created (*prays that they are not*) or attack drones), a bonus to salvaging and/or tractor beam speed and efficiency, and only be allowed to have tractor beams and salvagers put on it.
Hence:
salvage drones = nono tractor drones = maybe (allows greater range i suppose) |

So basically boost salvaging as a free loot source for NPCers yet being absolutely useless for people whom treat salvaging as a profession.
Hell no. We do need a specialized salvage ship, but no tractor bonuses (unless you can tractor neutral wrecks of course)

i was thinking more about range bonuses for the tractor (ala orca)

I like those ideas, I'd be happy with just extended Tractor Range and Tractoring Speed

also to prevent abusing of the ship, there could be 99% or 100% decrease in cpu and pgu for tractor beams and salvagers (with enough pgu/cpu for cargo expanders etc - maybe 2000-3000m3 cargohold size)? |

I'd like a salvsge ship with more salvage and tractor range. That way not only do I have a longer reach, but I can start salvaging sooner, before the wrek is right next to me.
And +1 to T2 tractors and salvagers |

how about tech 2 wrecks? something that maybe you get better quality salvage from it etc, and only able to be salvaged by something like the tech 2 salvagers? |

actually salvage drones are a great idea for larger slower ships, for example an orca which is always in a belt but only has three highslots. imo |

Um... already ingame.... the wrecks are 'elite' and generally off t2 ships, also some faction spawns
and anyone who wants to tractor beam neutral wrecks... ninja much?
damn.. i cant remember what this thread was about, salvage drones right? I think (yes it hurts) that a dedicated salvage ship with tractor bonuses would be good and that salvage drones would be good too for those ships with few high slots - i think though that the drones would have to act like mining drones though effectively going out to the wreck then bringing the parts back...
give me some iskies?
