fail.
You need Jump Drive Calibration 4, Fuel Conservation 4, Capital tank 4, Tactical Wepons Reconfig. 4, Siege Wepon(s) 4, Dread 4, Max Energy/Cap Skills. Of course, experience is also a good thing. . .as is how the ship behaves under certain conditions. . .but I am guessing you have money.

You can fight back against aggressors better and they're more versatile. Dreadnoughts are siege weapons, so unless you want to train them up because someone wants to recruit you to their corp and is making this part of the long-term requirements, go for a carrier. More bang for your buck imho.
Exception- Moros. With dreadnought to 4 or 5, drone interfacing to 5, and a few other skills to 4 or 5 you can get Ogres that behave like fighters with no warpdrives, and warriors that can instapop frigs.
Interesting tidbit about the moros - it has the cheapest tank of any cap ship.
Seriously. Damage control and max out those thingies that add % hull. Yields like 3.5 million EHP. |

That. Drone skills on Moros, should get it for the others too.

Yes, unfortunately it's built by Kuat Drive Yards who aren't based in New Eden.

Get EFT and put a loadout of setup you want.. Then add your API to EFT and start right clicking the modules on the load out and go to change effecting skill.. Add all those skills to evemon to Level 4 that should give you a good basic skill plan for that ship.
Though would be best to find a corp/alliance before moving into the actual cap ship training(ie Cap Ship Skill, Dreadnought skill, etc) otherwise focus on the support skills until then.. Also might be best as the Dev said to look towards Carriers rather then Dreads since most carriers are more forgiving then dreads usually.
Lastly train a cyno alt.. Might come in handy |

Did Oveur let you devs off the leash to read the forums or something? LOL. I've seen more blue bars in the past two days than I have in a month. The next expansion must be shaping up nicely eh?
Aside from the fact that Whisper's response is dead on, you actually have a problem with Devs making intelligent responses and giving direct answers? |
