Edited by: Axearm Thunk''um on 10/01/2009 00:19:07 Two separate questions
1)Gate Guns - So i go into a fight near a gate and decided to run. The gate said "no way Jose" and then something about aggression but i was to panicky to figure out why i could use the gate (I did survive though). So what are the rules on aggression and gates?
2)I've edited my combat overview down but I'm wondering if there is a way to filter out friendly ships/drones. In 30 vs 30 battles, I'm having a hard time even finding the target that has been primary-ed.
Ignore number 2, I found the answer here -> http://bscl.thedoctoruk.com/OVERVIEW.pdf

I'm not logged in right now to give you 100% confirmation but the gist of it is as follows:
1.) If you shoot at another player or object, regardless of who shot who first you will have an aggression timer. This timer will prohibit you from docking at a station or jumping through a gate for about 15-30 seconds, someone else can confirm this number but it is around that long. On top of that there is a 15 minute timer, visible or not, that you'll need to have disengaged for in order for your ship to vanish from the system if you log off. eg. You get shot and log off while taking damage. Then you would sit in space, vulnerable, for 15 minutes.
2.) If you open your overview settings, the first tab should have a "states" tab. Uncheck the types of states you do not want to show up. (Good standings, corp members, alliance, etc) Overview Guide : There are others, but this was the first one I found, and have used before.

It's a minute now before you can jump or dock. Use to be 30 seconds but they changed it. |

Edited by: Bloemkoolsaus on 11/01/2009 11:13:54 If you shoot first (note that webbing/scrambling also falls in this category), you cannot dock or jump for 15 minutes. You should be able to see a timer in you upper left corner of the screen. Not that you will also flash red for everyone (only if you shoot first).
This 15 minute timer does not apply if you are shooting your corpmates. ====================== Horizon.Inc - Dutch speaking corporation http://www.horizon-inc.nl |

That is not at all accurate. It's 60 seconds.
15 minutes is the aggression and criminal timer. If you aggress someone and log off, your ship will stay in space for 15 minutes.
This is cleared once you jump through a gate, unless you jump back into the system you had aggression in.

Note: the aggression timer is cleared once you jump, the criminal flag is not.
