If by the moment someone made a serious play you mean a concerted effort by Goons, TCF, KIA, Daisho coinciding with simultaneous assaults on our Dronelands allies and a diplomatic attack (admittedly assisted by failpeoke) to remove all of our other allies from the picture then granted. But that was at least the third time that we had faced what any rational objective observer would call a serious play to remove us.
Still, you kicked our ass and we failcascaded. That much is true.

I wonder why you guys didnt take providence then. In pure statistics its "better" then geminate. And you could brag about your sov4 count!
I seriously start to wonder if the Goon Geminate campain wasnt just a morale boost... we'll slaughter a small useless block of alliances by just announcing we're comming.
