Does anyone have a list of locations of the various kinds of ore? Like sovereignty/race and security status?

someone cooked that up a few years back. look up ombey's ore map on google. contains a few deliberate errors, but lists ore for every region except drone regions

I used the ore map, told me that the most of the systems that I was looked in (Verge Vendor region) should have had Plagioclase, Scordite, Veldspar and some should have Omber...
So I get in my ship and warp off to find these ores and all I found is Veldspar...that's it...every single roid belt I checked out over the course of an hour or so was bloody Veldspar! grrrrrr
Now I know that one can turn a good profit from Veldspar, but I want to go into manufacturing and need a source of other ores/minerals too...!
What am I doing wrong? Are they hidden, depleted or what?
PS: does anyone know why my portrait doesn't show on the left...?

Depending on the time of the day I would suppose that if you were visiting busy systems they all could have been depleted. I know my home system, I usually mine all the nice treats within the first hour of downtime ending.

Funny, you have just asked two of the most common questions we get here.
The reason you only see veldspar everywhere is because the overview only shows veldspar roids by default. I have no idea why. You need to go into your overview settings by right clicking the triangle in the upper left corner. There you can select which types of asteroids you want to see.
The forum avatar pictures are generated in batches from time to time. Sometimes as often as twice a year. You will just have to wait until they do it the next time. Don't hold your breath though, it could take a while.

1) Check your overview settings
2) Mine Veldspar, sell trit, buy other minerals. Have left over isk. This is much better than mining it all and ending up with the same result but less isk.
3) The roid grid is correct, there are those ores in verge vendor. Provided you are looking at 0.7 or lower (for Omber). Mind you at the moment you can sell your veldspar and buy twice as much omber as you could have mined in the same amount of time so.....
