For all the rhetoric about "staying in 0.0", I was almost shocked today to see Pator occupied by several of your members, including yourself. Engaged in strip mining the belts in your battleships and countless drones.
Surely a corporation of your size, a member of "the strongest alliance in EvE" does not need to be taking minerals from the fledgling pilots of this galaxy.
You should be ashamed.

Some 0.0 corps prefer to mine the low end minerals than give others money to do so.

sorry
I dont mean to take issue with your sig but the 'to be or not' to be quote is taken out of context, it does not refer to whether you exist or not.. when hamlet says it, he is complating whether to commit suicide and end his misery, or to take up the cause of his father and avenge his murder by his mother and her lover....
thanks...

Well, he IS the Dark Lord now isn't he ?
(ooc) My guess is VOTF has turned to Roleplay
Anyway, who cares anyway. At least alliance folk have learned not to pop roids and preserve nature.

I realise that he is contemplating suicide, i too am adept in shakespeare, however if you read the answer in relation to considering suicide then the answer points out that the question is flawed in that he must already arrive at a conclusion to live in order to ask that question or he would already be dead. Therefore the answer to his problem has to do with living, and since Hamlet's only reason for living is to avenge his father then he must therefore choose that. The idea that these systems get stripped is really not correct. We run one of the largest base mining operations I have seen. Running 12 BS with 7 miner II's and Harvies filling the cargo so fast that you have to empty every 1.5 mins with named expanders we have never been able to strip a system in 14 hours. Even systems with 4 belts cannot be emptied in that time. When the belts respawn they contain enough ore for a BS with 7 miner II"s to munch on them non-stop for 4 to 6 hours. Of course BS won't mine tiny rocks because of the hassel of switching up rocks every minute or so. However to a frigate with 2 lazers those tiny rocks last about 5 mins each.
Short and sweet, the ideal of saving the belts for the poor weak beginers is noble but misguided. The beginers never run out of ore to mine, at least not since secure cans were pulled out of .9 to 1.0 and the auto macroers went with them. With all duerespect to Mr. Binary of course.

You sir are wrong.
Pator is the hub of the Minmatar homesystems, every new player is sent there by their tutorial agents.
What is shocking is not to see a VOTF fleet mining in Empire space, that is entirely reasonable and natural.
What is shocking is seeing them do it in a 1.0 system instead of lets say, 0.8 or gosh, even 0.5, all of which offer them immunity from pirates and they would only need a few turrets to defend themselves against Angels or other vagabonds.

Hamlet's mother was not involved in the plot to kill his father. God's love and word come from god, NOT through a man or chains.
