Hope no nerf comes it's way before then!
It's been nerfed once already. They doubled the manufacturing time on it about 3 months after invention came out. Not sure about the logic on that! |

Nice print.
Too bad that once you take the cost of running a small pos into account it only makes 1.38% monthly return (at the current offer + Jita prices).
You'll be lucky to get an unsecured loan for less than 1.5% weekly interest; so the returns on this have an interest cover of less than 25% which probably makes it the worst investment in EVE.
You should lobby CCP to fix this and reduce production times by 66% (where it was before the nerf). Unfortunately, I doubt that they will.
Well, good luck on your dutch auction. Free bump.

You started this auction 2.5 weeks ago at 50Bn ISK. Are you going to make another contract come Sunday at 35Bn ISK?
Why not drop the price daily by 1Bn instead? Just bumb and edit and that would make it a more granular Dutch auction.
Also, are you aware that mathematically the results of a Dutch auction and blind bidding are the same? In other words, you would get the same result from dropping price until you get a buyer as you would get from blind bidding (= in-game offers).
However, becasue of the time it takes with your method you are creating an opportunity risk for the (potential) bidders. Meaning: since noone knows when this auction/sale is going to end becasue noone is willing to pay the price you ask, they may be better of investing somewhere else with certainty.
The reason you may think this doesn't bother you think you know where the market is at from offers you got in-game. However, you are assuming that these offers will still be there 3 weeks later.
Also, I would assume that given how this auction/sale has been running that you would close a deal if you had an in-game offer above 35Bn but less than 40Bn - otherwise why wait for issuing another contract at 35Bn?
This makes it even worse for you as everyone knows that noone is willing to pay more than 35Bn.

Naomi...You could very well be right. I've never claimed to be an expert at selling BPOs.
I guess the way I see it, the print is out there on contract for anyone to buy at that price. No games...no gimmicks. Obviously, it hasn't sold yet...but that doesn't mean it won't.
Thanks for the input. Certainly food for thought.

Well, technically, she didn't put it up for auction 2.5 weeks ago. She just put up a contract in hopes of selling it. Nothing wrong with that. Can't blame her for trying, or for lowering the price.

Hmm....seems one of these BPOs has been removed from the game.
Perhaps I should hang on to it...

I'm affraid you will have to hold on to it, because:
1) it doesn't make any money
2) with 40Bn one can buy in excess of 50,000 units, which is more than 5 years demand for this item in even the biggest alliance
Half your ask price and you may get someone interested.
