simple question
have the skills "Weapon upgrade" (Reduces the CPU needs of weapons by 5% per level of skill.) and "controlled bursts" (Allows better control over the capacitor use of turrets. Grants a 5% per level reduction in capacitor need of turrets.) an effect on the mininglaser?

a mining laser is not a turret its a mining laser so the short answer is no.

I think that they do actually affect mining lasers TBH, not 100% certain, but Im about 90% sure that my needs have gone down since training weapon upgrades 4.

The skills don't affect mining lasers. There are only 2 skills that affect the mining lasers in any way, those are Mining and Astrogeology

The skills don't affect mining lasers. There are only 2 skills that affect the mining lasers in any way, those are Mining and Astrogeology

mining lasers do not count as weapon so weapon upgrades doesnt give u a reduced cpu need for them
u could try to declare war on roids maybe thats the trigger to define miners as weapons

mining lasers do not count as weapon so weapon upgrades doesnt give u a reduced cpu need for them
u could try to declare war on roids maybe thats the trigger to define miners as weapons

a mining laser still counts as a turret but i agree im farly certain weapon upgrades doesnt effect them

1) Mining laser IS a turret to prova that consider a vexor (gallente cruiser) that have 5 hi slots but only 4 turrest.. and it can fit only 4 minin g lasers, not 5.
2) Weapon upgrade does not reduce CPU requirement on those turrets. (maybe because they are turrets but not weapons ?  )
BTW a skill for reducing CPU for mining laser could be a nice idea.
