...especially if you are as easily distracted as me.
Yesterday I decided to take my rifter to Stain from empire. I plugged in the co-ordinates and off i trotted. But alas, my attention was cunningly ambushed by Time Team on the tele, and I became transfixed by beardy peoples jumpers and holes in the ground.
After some time, I glanced at the monitor, and lo, I was at gate. With barely 1 eyeball on the monitor, I spied an orange square, which belonged to some chap in Corp 1, not 10km from the gate.
"Avast!" I cried, and set orbit for his rifter. As I closed, I hit the webber...at the same time, clocking the sec status of the system I was in... 0.5
"Arse", I muttered. CONCORD decorated my rifter, and I CTD'd.
That'll teach me. For some reason, I assumed I was in 0.0 sec space.
Note to self: Stop being a noob.
This is why I don't fly battleships anymore.

Channel 4 on a Sunday is good TV. Nothing but cricket this Sunday. Nearly lost my BB to low end gate rats watching Scrap Metal challenge last week.

whilst we are on the subject I lost a crow yesterday when i flew into 0.7 space totally forgeting I'd pod killed someone earlier and my sec status had dropped to -3.5.
I too am an idiot.

What is it with Corp1 anyway? I was down in their neck of the woods and they still try and pull that targeting you near sentries thing. Does that even work anymore?
I always looked at it as the eve equivalent of "hey batter, batter, Sah-wing batter". Something your coach told you to do in little league. Owell if it's a successful tactic then so be it.
