Hi there folks,
I have thought about a possible development opportunity that could set this game out above the other mmo's out there on the market.
I have been thinking about getting myself a smart phone when I am next due to upgrade/change my current contract, and suddenly had the idea that, although I will not be able to access the game on a windows mobile phone, there is definitely an opportunity for a trading program to be developed that can be accessed from any online access but would allow current players to access their market orders and 'micro manage their character. This could incorporate all character management options from trading to training, certificate acquisition to eve-mailing. Anything that would not require the user to undock from their current location.
This would therefore give players a lot more control of their characters development and add a new 'leaf' to the Eve-Online book.
Just a thought!
If you could pass this on to the relevant team I would greatly appreciate it (even if it a complete joke of an idea)
Regards.

they were throwing this idea around at the 2008 fanfest.. something about the improved functionality of the api, i dont know how in depth, but there was mention that this could be a possibility for 3rd party things like evemon, etc. Even going as far as including eve voice or chat functions from what i heard. |

I think there are some corporations that have trading websites set up, for out of game orders that are then completed in-game. It's probably more applicable for large quantities of battleships or minerals or cap ship orders than for single units of civilian shield boosters, you know, big trades. .............
